Common Email Port numbers

  • Gmail Port: 587 SMTP: smtp.gmail.com
  • Yahoo Port: 995 SMTP: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • GoDaddy Port: 3535

Ports 25 and 587

We have found that some Internet Service Providers (Verizon for example) block ports 25 and 587. This means that sometimes the SMTP settings will work in one location but the same settings will not work in another location. If you run into this issue you can try another port such as 465. This link provides instructions for changing from port 25 or 587 to 465 when using Verizon.

Here is  a list of other Internet Service Providers that block port 25.

  • Alian/NbTel
  • AOL
  • AT&T WorldNet
  • Charter
  • Comcast/ATTBI
  • Conversent
  • DCAnet
  • Earthlink
  • ISPWest
  • Microsoft’s MSN
  • MindSpring
  • NetZero
  • People PC
  • Prodigy
  • SBC
  • Sprynet
  • Verio

Please note some email providers have limits on the amount of emails that can be sent in a specific time period (per hour, day, ect) Sendouts only limits you to 500 at a time but unlimited to how many throughout the day.  If you are unable to send your emails please check your email providers restrictions as well as the security settings in Sendouts set by your admin.
